ICSI

ICSI is a procedure where a single sperm is carefully injected directly into an egg to facilitate fertilization. This advanced
technique is often used in cases where:
● Sperm count is low.
● Sperm motility is compromised.
● There are challenges with egg penetration.
● Previous IVF attempts have not been successful.
The ICSI Process:

  1. Egg Retrieval: After stimulating the ovaries to produce multiple eggs, they are retrieved through a minimally invasive
    procedure.
  2. Sperm Collection: Sperm is collected from the male partner or donor. If needed, sperm can also be extracted
directly from the testes in certain cases.
  3. Injection: Under the careful supervision of skilled embryologists, a single healthy sperm is injected into the centre of
an egg using a fine needle.
  4. Fertilization and Embryo Transfer: Once fertilization occurs, the resulting embryos are monitored for growth. A
healthy embryo is then transferred to the uterus for implantation.
