What is IVF?
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a fertility treatment procedure which involves mixing of sperm with an egg in lab-dish and then placing the embryo in mother’s womb.
The IVF Process:
- Consultation & Assessment:
A detailed discussion with our fertility specialists to understand your medical history, perform necessary tests, and design a
personalized treatment plan. - Ovarian Stimulation & Monitoring:
Hormone medications are used to stimulate the ovaries for growth of multiple eggs. Ultrasounds and blood tests help us monitor progress. - Egg Retrieval:
A minimally invasive procedure to collect mature eggs, performed under anesthesia for your comfort. - Fertilization:
The retrieved eggs are fertilized with sperm in our state-of-the-art lab. In some cases, advanced techniques like ICSI
(Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) may be used. - Embryo Transfer:
Once the embryos reach a healthy stage, one or more are carefully transferred to the uterus. - The Two-Week Wait:
After the transfer, we wait for nature to take its course. A pregnancy test is conducted to confirm success.
